Almonds have the highest protein content of all the nuts. This is the almond for home orchards its semi-dwarf, so it wont get too large, and bears a prolific crops of sweet, soft-shelled almonds. We are in a marginal almond growing area yet weve had almonds every year on our 5-year-old tree. Self-fertile, and a good pollinator for other almonds. 500 chill hours. USDA zones 6-9.
